Interrupted pediment with carved scrolls on a molded crown
Conforming case with banded inlay.
Two astragal molded glass doors.
Individually paned glass panels.

Large writing storage drawers with locking center cabinet.
Lower case has three graduating drawers, all with hand cut dovetail.
All supported by carved bracket feet.

Antique English Mahogany Bookcase Secretary Ca 1820. Interrupted pediment with carved scrolls on a molded crown on conforming case with banded inlay. Two astragal molded glass doors opening to find individually paned glass panels and three adjustable shelves. Slant front secretary doors open to a large writing surface, pigeonholing, and four storage drawers with locking center cabinet. Lower case has three graduating drawers, all with hand cut dovetail. This is all supported by carved bracket feet. The back of the piece is made with hand canted panels. The piece is super sturdy and clean with minor banding veneer issues.
