Fine Japanese Gold IMARI伊万里焼Large Hand Painted 12\" Round Porcelain Dish - Platter - Chargerfrom Arita有田焼Kiln in Hizen Province, Northwest of Kyushu.
features traditional Japanese ImariSix-Sectional& Medallions design hand colored in cobalt blue, red / rust redunderglaze andturquoise, green and gold overglaze and gilded rim.
TheCharger has red Imari Japanese Character mark on the underneath with mark GOLD IMARI in gold as well asgritty texture on the bottom circle where it was not covered by glazeindicate its older age.
Dated mostlikely back to the early to middle 20th Century.

Theplatter - chargerwas kept on display only for decades,itis in perfectpresentablecondition with some very minor expected rubbing to thegilding,it is free of any chips, cracks or anyvisible damage; back gritty circle is undamaged and shows some extra sand mark in one small area,pic.12, as a proof of hand made older producing. The platter is absolutely stable..
