Fine Old 18th Cent. Spanish Colonial? Silver Serving Tray w Ball Claw Feet

Presented is a fine old 18th century oval serving tray or salver. This piece dates to around the second half of the 1700s, and we believe it is a Spanish Colonial piece. The tray is done in an oval form, standing on four handsome ball and claw form feet. The tray has a bold beaded design applied around the edge. This is a classic piece with a lot of visual appeal, and would be a great addition to any silver collection.

This piece is in great overall condition, particularly for its age. There are two old solder repairs where the legs on either end of the tray join the body, but these are not very noticeable. There are some minor surface abrasions here and there, but nothing of any significance in our opinion. There are no other repairs, no splits, no dents, no monograms, and no monogram removals. Please let the photos guide your judgment.

This piece is not stamped or hallmarked but we have tested it with nitric acid and guarantee it to be at least 900 purity silver.

The tray measures about 10 by 7 ½ by 1 inch, LxWxH.

This piece weighs 308 grams or 10.9 regular ounces.
