This listing is for a very fine pair of Chinese, Plique a jour, cabinet vases. They measures 7 inches or 17.7 cm high, and are 5 3/4 inches or 14.6 cm at their widest. The vases are done with very fine wire work in gilt bronze and hand enameled. They have blue and pink peony flowers with green leaves around the body; all of this against a translucent red fish scale background. The vases have gilt bronze rims on both the top and bottom and a low round foot in blue enamel.One vase is in good condition with only some minor verdigris on the top rim, the other has a small area of damage to the enamel and wire work on the body of the vase.
