ITEM DESCRIPTION

Item Description

Up for your consideration is a fine antique French gilt bronze oil lamp, c. 1870. The piece weighs about 10 lbs., and is finely made. It measures 14.5\" tall, and 7.25\" in diameter. Without the shade, it is 11\" tall. The piece was converted to electricty, but the wiring has since been removed.

Overall, the piece is in good presentable condition. There is a break in one of the swags, just underneath its attachment point, and there are some missing/altered screws. This would make a nice project for someone with a little time. The shade is free of damage, and the patina shows moderate wear.
