Franklin Mint Civil War Library & Museum MAJOR GENERAL JEB STUART POCKET KNIFE:
$25.00

This sale is for THE OFFICIAL MAJOR GENERAL JEB STUART COLLECTOR POCKET KNIFE. This series was created by the Franklin Mint Civil War Library and Museum. It was a limited edition of 45 days - a spectacular combination of art work and superb knife making that has been crafted by hand in sterling & gold accents with a polished blade of stainless steel. Each knife captures the distinctive look of red and blue enamel with gray antiqued pewter and is accented with thirteen stars... The knife measures about 7-1/4 inches in the open position - the blade measures about 3 inches long and has the initials FM.

Stuart graduated from West Point in 1854 and served in Texas and Kansas with the U.S. Army, a veteran of the frontier conflicts with Native Americans and the violence of Bleeding Kansas. He participated in the capture of John Brown at Harpers Ferry. Resigning when his home state of Virginia seceded, he served first under Stonewall Jackson in the Shenandoah Valley, but then in increasingly important cavalry commands of the Army of Northern Virginia, playing a role in all of that army\'s campaigns until his death.
