Offered is an exquisite estate watch pendant necklace modeled after the famed Russian Imperial eggs created by Carl Faberge for the czars in the late 19th century.

This is a beautifully crafted Franklin Mint version by the House of Faberge made in 1988, of sterling silver with a 22K gold plating, real cultured seed pearls dot the ornate floral scroll work with a thick layering of royal blue enamel.

Every real Imperial egg contained a hidden surprise and while it\'s not exactly hidden, I was surprised to see the watch with real mother of pearl face included.

The watch tilts in the setting so it can be wound but I leave that to the new owner, it is currently not working. There are tiny screws in the pendant frame so it appears the watch can be removed for care.

Because of the watch, the pendant is a half egg, which lays very comfortably when worn.

The pendant tested as sterling silver with 22K real gold plating in addition to being hallmarked. The real gold plating gives this the rich look of gold without the price. The watch casing was not tested but may be sterling as well. There is some wear to the gold plating on the watch side but none is apparent on the egg side.

The pendant measures 1 1/2 inches long including the 1/4 inch bale and 1 inch wide with a depth of about 1/2 inch.

It is hallmarked \"1988 FM Sterling 925\' with a copyright symbol and a maker\'s mark. The chain is NOT included.
