Up for sale is the Franklin Mint Limited Edition Chess set. Made in 1988 in commemoration of the 125th anniversary of the Battle of Gettysburg. The playing surface displays a map of the city of Gettysburg marking important stages and places of the battle.
This set is in excellent condition -- you will not find another like it. Has all 32 pieces, the box which stored the pieces is also in very good condition. The set comes with all the Civil War pamphlets which describe some of the more famous heroes and heroines of the Civil War. It also comes with the Certificate of Authenticity (which has a wrinkle in the left top edge and a girls name written in yellow crayon or marker on its back. Not discernible from the front).
