Issued by the Franklin Mint in 1976 as part of an annual series of Sterling silver collector plates leading up to the Bicentennial Celebration. One plate features, the first to sign, John Hancock as he signed the Declaration of Independence. The second plate issued by the Franklin Mint in 1973, this plate features Thomas Jefferson, a drafter of the United States Constitution, declaring\"We hold these truths to be self-evident\". All paperwork and original packaging included, the pictures are of the exact items you will receive. One item cover shows discoloration on one side of packaging. Almost 17 ounces of Sterling Silver!!These beautiful plates were struck from 8.385 ounces of Sterling silver, then gold-plated with 24 carat gold.
