This lovely Argent Double coffee pot came with us from France. Notice the horses head spout and the elaborate feet! This was produced somewhere between the late 1700\'s and 1840, do before the invention of electroplating. These were made by hand with about a 1/10th silver content (also called a dixieme). The feet end up in large decorative designs on the body of the pot and may be of a later date. The handle has a large round decorated disc holding the bakelite handle. The condition of the pot is good antique condition: there is a small dimple in the body of the pot as shown and there is a very faint misalignment of the spout (hard to photograph) to the handle. The feet are also on a slight angle, though keeping the pot stable. The pot is hallmarked on the rim, but the hallmarks have faded over its life and are hard to make out. All in all a very unique piece worthy of any collection.Measurements are: 8\" handle to spout and overall height is 11\".
