**** French Silver Gilt and Hand Painted Enamel Compact ****

Description: A really stunning little French Silver Gilt compact, with emerald green guilloche enamel highlighted in black, engine turned base and a beautifully painted central scene of a fisherman in a boat, on a lake with trees. The hand painted enamel scene is in monochrome, which is set off by the green and black surround. The picture is signed with initials and the detail is fantastic. Inside the compact is fully gilded and the lid is set with a mirror.

Maker – Unknown, French duty mark

Date – Circa 1900

Condition: No Damage. No splits dents or holes, hinges good, box closes nicely. Gilding in good condition, with no wear. No damage to mirror.

Enamel is perfect, with no chips, cracks or wear either to the sides or the lid of the box. Enamel painting is perfect.

Dimensions: Diameter– 39mm

Depth - 11mm
