An iconic bag from Gianni Versace, circa 1980s.
The inside brass plaque of this bag dates to Gianni\'s first store in via Spiga, Milan.
Bags from this period rarely surface and are extremely rare to find in any condition.
This bag is Gianni at the top of his game.
Combining a luxurious black calf skin leather with his signature Medusa heads Gianni designed a superb piece of arm candy which is bang on trend.
This bag has been used but has minimal surface wear - SEE FULL DESCRIPTION BELOW.
The leather is a very soft but sturdy grained calf skin.
The round domed Medusa heads on the end of both handles and on the front of the bag measure almost 1.25 inches (3 cms).
The amazing Medusa head in the center measures 2 inches (5 cms) by 1.5 inches (4 cms).
Fully lined with 1 inside zip pocket.
The exterior leather is a true rich black, and in incredible condition, absolute minimal wear, nothing that detracts or to note.
The handles are immaculate, no staining or wear.
The large leather zip pull is in perfect condition and has never been embossed with initials.
No marks, no stains - see photos.
The gold hardware has some minimal surface wear from storage - nothing that detracts, see photos.
Inside lining has some wear from storage but is completely clean, no obvious stains, no tears.
NO musty odor whatsoever.
Inside zip works perfectly.
TOP ZIP WORKS PERFECTLY BUT ON 1 SIDE HAS 2 SPLITS - SEE PHOTOS.
