Up for sale is aGORGEOUS17\"Revlon type Vinyl Fashion or GlamourDoll.I believe she was made by a company called \"CHARACTERISTICS\" based on her markings, specifically the VH-17 on the bottom of one foot and the triangle symbol on her lower back just above her buttocks. According to the \"dollreference.com\" website, both of those are indicators that she was made by CharacteristicsDoll Co.She also has additionalmarkings: \"47\" on the bottom ofher other foot, and the numbers: \"4276-8 \" on the back of her head. She wasmade sometime in the late 1950\'s to early 1960\'s but I do not know an exact date.She is in very good cosmetic condition and looks as if she was played with very little. She has great coloring and is free of nicks, marks, cracks, stains, and such. She comes wearing a vintage(most likely original to her) off-white full length gown. It may be a bridal gown, and if so, then she may have been sold as a bride doll instead of a fashion or glamor doll.Her ears are pierced and she wearsfaux pearl earrings. She has a very pretty faceand has light honey blonde rooted hair styled in a cute little curly bubble cut.She weighsa little less than 1 pound.
This beauty\'sbody, head, and limbs are all made of vinyl. Herbody and limbs feel like they are stuffed or filled with something soft, like the miracle skin that some dolls were made ofin the 50\'s and early 60\'s. Her head is made of a soft vinyl.Her pretty blonde hair is very clean and shiny looking. The curly rooted hair is thick and full and I see no areas of missing hair and I also see no evidence of any amateur haircuts. Her face is gorgeous with herbig, blue, pinwheelsleep eyes that are super bright and clear. They literally sparkle with personality and they open and close well (occasionally the right eye sticks just a little). Her upperdark brown/black brusheyelashes are thick and full. I see no missing lashes. Herside painted on eyelashesshow no paint loss.Her arched, dark browneyebrows look great withno paint fading either. She has a prettysoft peachy complexion,softlyblushed rosy cheeks, and asweet littlebrightredmouth. The mouth has no paint loss either. I see nonicks,pen or marker marks, scratches, stains, or scrapes on her face. Her complexion looks flawless. She is areal beauty!
This young ladyis jointed only at the neck, so that her head does move. Her body and limbs are all one piece and are not jointed. She can standbut does need a doll stand when standing since she is a high-heeled doll and not flat footed.She does bend at the waist but she does not stay in a sitting position on her own.She isa high heeled doll, so her feet are arched and she can only wear heels.There are no fingers or toes that are missing or are chewed on. There are a lot of details on her hands and feet. She has great overall coloring and it is pretty uniformly even throughout the head, body and limbs. Her body, arms and legs all lookgood with no cuts, gouges, splits, cracks,stains or dings. She isclean and shows very little play wear.
She comes dressed in avintage looking, full length off-white or cream colored satiny floral print gown. It has a simple scoop neck and lace trim at the ends of the long sleeves and at the hemline of the dress. The addition of pale pink and white flocked flowers and a satin ribbon bow at the waistline makes me think that this is a wedding gown.The gown snaps in the back with 2 hidden snaps. The dress is in fairly good condition overall but I spottedseveral little pale rusty looking stains on the dress and the dress is ripping in several places at the seam around the waistline. I\'m sure the rips could easily be mended by a seamstress. I have not attempted to launder the dress.She is wearing vintage off-white (cream)satiny panties that are most likely original to her. They are in very good condition. She is wearing a vintage pair of faux pearl drop earrings in her ears that are probably original to her, too.They are in very good condition.This dollhas no unpleasant odors. We are a smoke-free, pet-free home. Shehasgreat detailing andexcellent coloring, and is quite afind!
