FABULOUS ANTIQUE STERLING SILVER ENAMEL CARRIAGE CLOCK BY WILLIAM COMYNS 1895 This sterling clock is just awesome! It is raised on four bun feet and it is all repousse with scrolls and flowers and animals. On one side of the clock there is a rooster; on the right side of the clock there is an owl, and on the front bottom there is a dove flying! The clock is in great condition with no dents, dings or repairs but there is a very tiny chip on the porcelain dial just after the 3 o\'cock number and it also has a very faint line about a 1/2\" wide through the number 3. It is not all that noticeable but it is there. The clock works very well and is fully marked with the hallmarks for \"William Comyns\" with the lion and leopard and date letter \"U\" for 1895. The handle is also marked as well as the side and back. This is a very rare clock made by a well known and highly regarded silversmith. On the inside it has a French movement, marked as so and it is a wind up with its own attached key. The door opens and closes well. There was a clock almost exactly like this that recently sold on for almost $2000.00. This clock stands about 3 3/4\" high with the handle up by 2\" wide. A wonderful clock that is truly a work of art! This would make a great addition to your collection or home decor! Thanks for looking.
