Antique scarce Gorham 1893 North Pole Expedition, in relief sterling silver .925 figural souvenir spoon, featuring Dr. Nansen on the handle. Names of crew members on the back, & handsome decor of ships in the bowl, dogs, sled, & polar bears.The spoon is NOT monogrammed, is marked with the Gorham Lion Anchor G mark Sterling, 911, PATENT 1897, measures approximately 5 7/8 inches long, & weighs 1.455 ozt. The spoon is in very good antique estate condition;NO DENTS OR REPAIRS. THERE IS SOME SCRATCHING, WORN WASH & WEAR CONSISTENT WITH THE AGE OF THE PIECE & NORMAL USAGE.
