$1075.00

Up for offer is an original four panel GARRY TRUDEAU pen and ink comic strip drawing from the early 1970\'s DOONESBURY. It is dated \"3-30\" with no year. It is signed by the artist in the first panel as well as in the inscription under the artwork. Art measures 15\" x 7\", 20\" x 11\" framed.

The subject of this particular daily strip is Mark coming home from college and being greeted by his parents. His Dad greets him with an out of character stilted version of the slang of the era. As Mark questioningly turns to his Mom she explains that his father has been watching the TV show \"The Mod Squad\". \"The Mod Squad\" was cancelled in 1973 which would make this one of the early Doonesbury strips. The strip was first published in 1970. In 1975 it was the winner of the Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning.

Theartwork has been hand signed by the artist with the inscription \"To Mrs. Schulman with best regards from Garry Trudeau\". This item was inherited by her son last year. She acquired it in the 1970\'s when she wrote as a fan to Mr. Trudeau admiring his work. He very kindly sent her this piece in appreciation.

Theartwork measures 11\" x 20\" andis in excellent condition. It has been professionally matted and framed.

Only the artwork is being sold. No publication rights are being sold with the art.
