Letter signed “Blücher”. 1p., 8.0 x 13.5 inch, Treptow an derRega, 1811 August 26. Addressed to major Anton Christian von Strampff inKolberg regarding his help to build an entrenchment. In German: “”Ewr. Hochwohlgeb.werden nach Empfang dieser Ordre dem Lieut. v Roth, noch einen sachverständigenGehülfen zusenden, der ihm bei dem Faschinen binden hülfreiche Hand leistetindem derselbe es nicht allein über sehen kann.“ Below Blücher’s signature in Starmpff’s hand:„ganz unterthänigst, daß ich den Portrepee Fähnrich Blanckenburg als Gehülfedem Lieutnant morgen zuschicken werde…“ Slightly discolored, stained and left edge slightly trimmed. Writing isdark and unaffected.
