This is a genuine, M1 Garand bayonet, with scabbard.

Both the bayonet and scabbard have US identifying marks removed. There is a description on the scabbard stating this is a brand new bayonet, but since the blade appears to be re-parkerized, this is doubtful. The description is taped to the scabbard and I was afraid to attempt removing it for fear of damaging the finish.

The blade is straight and free of major dings and chips. It has amost 100% of the Parkerized finish. Locking device works.

The blade is 9 7/8\" long.

The handle is in excellent condition and has no chips or cracks. The crossguard is tight. Handle is about 4 3/8\" long.

The scabbard is reconditioned, with US ID removed. There is a symbol that looks like two capital \"H\'s\" at the top of the scabbard. Overall condition is very good, with no major dings, stains, scratches, or wear spots. Snap is in good condition.

This bayonet may have been used in Greece, Korea or some other country.

This bayonet has an overall very good appearance. It could be used on a rifle, or put into a collection.
