George II solid silver table spoon by James Wilks
Assayed in London, dated 1750.
Hanoverian pattern , with a shell to the back of the bowl. InitialedA*P
Condition: Very good, no splits, dents or repairs. Shows some slight wear to the tip of the bowl and overall surface wear, small scratches/nicks. good gauge, superb hallmarks. Nice example for a spoon of this age.
Hallmarks: Struck with makers mark J:W, lion passant , London assay mark and date letter (p)
