~ George II Silver Christening Mug London 1731 ~A lovely George II era silver christening mug.
The mug is of an oval bellied form with a scrolled handle.
The body is finely embossed and chased with spiral floral patterns.
The mug has an inner gilt finish.
To the front is a cartouche engraved ‘Maurice William Bethel Hervey, June 25th 1898’
The mug is hallmarked London, 1731 and has a makers mark of ‘TT’ for Thomas Tearle.

The mug has a diameter of 7.5cm (3 inches) and a height of 10cm (4 inches).
