Up for sale is an antique George Shiebler sterling silver 19th century pocket watch holder.
Has a wonderful gold vermeil over the sterling silver.
Please note: at some point in the history of this piece, a Tavannes pocket watch face was glued on with a metal bug on the front. This gives this piece a lot of character. It is glued on, not too much residue, can be carefully taken off.
Has a cherub on either side.
In great condition, has a stand on the back.
Measures 4.4 x 3 inches.
Hallmarked in the back with the Shiebler hallmark Sterling 4862.
Weighs 74.4 grams.
