Prussian German WW1 Trench Bugle dated 1915
This is an incredibly hard to find 100% genuine World War One German Trench bugle, this is a real piece of history. This has all the knocks and dents that you would expect from the trenches, please see the photographs for more detail, this is an early war high quality item, late war economy ones were ersatz steel only ! Dated 1915 to the bugles silver rim, it is complete with its carrying rings and part of a link chain. It carries proudly its Prussian eagle marked \'FR\'. The bugle is manufactured from brass, copper and silver, I have not cleaned or polished it as personally I prefer to leave as is. I have owned this for a number of years and I am sad to see it go as I know I will never own one again. This bugle has a great patina to it, people often say \'if only it could talk\' well in my opinion it does talk, just by you looking at it, it will take centre stage of any collection. A must for a serious collector. I have seen an example each in the \'Flanders Fields museum, Ypres and the Pascendale museum also, I have included photographs of these.
It is a working bugle and still sounds !
