GMP Second Edition 1:6 diecast metal display model of a 255 cubic inch Offenhauser \"Offy\" racing engine. This new model looks great and will require light assembly to display stand. This powerful racing engine dominated the open wheel racing scene for almost 50 years. When Ford came onto the scene in 1963 the Offy started to loose its domination but it remained competitive thru the mid 1970\'s by turbo charging. The 2.65 liter turbo four cylinder engine could develop over 1000 Horsepower. The final Offy victory in Championship racing came at Trenton in 1978 in Gordon Johncocks\' Wildcat race car. Very nicely mounted and very collectible, rare limited numbered edition decorative piece for desk or man cave. 6.5 in long by 4 .5 in. wide, weighs about 5 pounds and has a nicely finished display plaque with acrylic cover. Base is 7 in. x 9 in. with a felt pad and acrylic cover. This is really a quality piece with display cover and will require light assembly.
