Here is a wonderful solid silver picture locket pendant. It depicts an image of a young lady with flowers in her hair, very reminiscent of the earlier romantic Art Nouveau period of design in the late 19th Century.
Condition is very good. There are no splits, dents or repairs, just the usual light surface scratches which are commensurate with a piece of silver that is around 20 years old. The hinge is strong and has a nice tight fit when closed. It is highly desirable and would compliment any collection. My photographs confirm condition, however further images are available if required.
Whilst the locket is fully hallmarked, they are tiny and I have had difficulty photographing them with my camera. Through my \'loop\', however, I can see that it has full convention marks \'925\' for purity. The final mark shows an assay for London 1995. The maker is not known.Inside the locket is the word \'sterling\' which suggests that it may be an imported piece.
The locket measures 3.5cm x 2.8cm and weighs 9g.
