Listing is for a Gorham \"Athenic\" patternlarge bowl, sterling silver rim mounted on an etched crystal/glass bowl. Not sure of purpose, possibly a fruit or punch bowl? The rim is not fully seated onto part of the bowl, hard to see, but see the 1st photo, 2nd photobelow the hallmark, and 10th photo. Appears to be factory flaw of not completely seating the rim. Top measures approximately 12\" in diameter, sterling rim itself is 1 3/4\" wide, and measures approximately up to 4 1/4\" tall to top of sterling rim. Weighs over 6 pounds. Bottom of bowl has normal surface scratching from use, rim has tiny indentions along the inner rim. Could use a polishing, mostly to the crevices.Overallappears to be in excellent used condition, see photos. See photos for more details. Thank you for viewing.
