*Description:

Gorham Sterling Silver 9” Diameter Footed Bowl. The classic design with a flared rim and tiered foot. Measures approx.: Diameter of top 9”. Height 4.5”. Diameter of base 4.75”. This bowl weighs 1lb 10.2oz (743g) on my digital postal scale. This bowl belonged to my dad’s dad. He was VP of ITT in Europe. Bottom base is hallmarked: “GORHAM (Lion, anchor & G hallmarks) STERLING 41660 3 P.REVERE REPRODUCTION”. It is also marked on the base “ITT QUARTER CENTURY CLUB HERNAND BEHN CHAPTER HENRY C. BOHLE JUNE 28, 1954(?).” (They spelled his first name wrong! It was Henri & the date looks like 1934 but I believe it\'s 1954) We received this after my gramps passed in 1972. My parents never used it but had it on display in our curio cabinet in our dining room for the last 45 years. It needs a good cleaning/polishing & I will leave that up to the buyer. It is in very good vintage condition with some light rubs & scratches from age. There are no dings or dents. Very beautiful bowl.
