We are pleased to offer this elegant 1925 Gorham sterling silver Neo-classical hand decorated serving tray.
In Maintenon. One of the firm's most desired patterns.
Elegant streaming leaf and berry, with ribbon wrap decorated rim.
Followed by series of hand chased Neo-classical fruit and floral displays. Centre with shell and floral framed shield, with engraved BHC (?) to one medallion. Followed by lush leaf and berry, floral streams. Alternating with twin vine cap inverted acanthus, with partial satin surface.
This fine 1925 Gorham Maintenon serving tray is 15 inches.
Exceptionally thick, heavy guage sterling construction 50 1/2 (standard) ounces.
There is no "give" whatever to the centre of the tray. It easily accommodates your finest 4 tea piece service. Or serves as an elegant drinks tray.
Hallmarked as shown.
In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The beautiful Neo-classical decoration retains its original crisp hand chased detail. Stands perfectly even on table. Centre few barely noted scuffs from careful use, none at all can be felt.
