We are pleased to offer this monumental 1895 Gorham sterling silver tea set.

Inverted pear. Center shell cap vine framed medallion with script MTA (?) opposite side TSD (?). Flanked by oak leaf spray one side and cherry branch the other.

Cross leaf ring finial atop sweeping vine edge. Leaf cap handles with the original custom carved heat stops.

Hallmarked as shown.

Coffee pot 10 inches 31 standard ounces. Teapot 10 1/2 and 28 1/2 ounces. Sugar 8 inches & 19 ounces. Waste bowl 6 & 9 ounces. Cream jug 6 3/4 tall & 10 1/2 ounces.

The entire hand decorated Gorham tea set is 98 standard ounces.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous silver patina. Interiors clean as if little used. Stands perfectly firm on table or display shelf. The hand decorated leaf and floral retain original detail. Handles secure and original heat stops. Mild wear.
