GORHAM STERLING SILVER TEA SET; CARYATID HANDLES; MADE IN 1893

We are exceptionally pleased to offer this Gorham sterling maiden handle partial tea set.

Made in 1893.

Tapering urn with streaming drapery suspended from rosette.

Layered shell suspended from center in petal fluted frame.

Elegantly cast caryatid handles, with split vine terminal. The sugar bowl with female and the cream jug with male head.

Script engraved TCF (?).

This 1893 Gorham caryatid handle sugar bowl 7 inches and cream jug 5 inches tall and set weighs 18 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown.

In very fine condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. The beautifully carved caryatid handle and shell and floral retain their original detail. Mild wear and couple tiny dints.
