The public knew little of his struggle with pills and booze and could see hints of aging with his weight gain. None of us really expected Elvis, the King of Rock N Roll to die so suddenly. Many of us remember where we were when we heard that Kennedy was shot and the second was where we were when we heard that Elvis had died.So sad.On the 10th Anniversary of his death, the Graceland News Magazine was released in a very limited supply. The inside is a tribute to the life of Elvis There are great unreleased photos only licensed from Graceland and Lisa Marie for this issue. Very awesome! Check the sample photos of some of the great collages and full two sheet spreads.Cases were made that contained 140 magazines each. There were only 60 cases ever made.I recently made a deal for an unopened case. See the photo of the Unopened case and the inside as I opened the case. Simply amazing. With this said, these have sat untouched but the movement of the case over the years has caused some of the issues to be either FINE or VERY FINE. Some, like the one we are offering is in NEAR MINT 9.2 condition. This is a $25-$30 value magazine all day long to Elvis Collectors. Comes professionally bagged and boarded. A non-acid, non-pvc archival quality storage. Please ask and I can send additional photos of the unopened case and other interior photos.Recently a scuffed and damaged issue sold on that large sale site for $15.00 but a Very Fine issue is worth roughly $20.00. A FINE issue is worth roughly $15.00. I am not sure what a damaged issue is worth but we will only sell those issues that are in FINE or better condition. This book is an excellent copy with great eye appeal.
• It is vibrant and clean with supple pages.
• The spine may have a couple of very small stress lines at the most 1/4 inch the surface color around the line must not be noticeably broken.
• The spine is almost completely flat.
• The cover is relatively flat with almost no surface wear and the cover inks are generally bright with medium to high reflectivity.
• The staples may show some discoloration, but it\'s not too noticeable on first glance.
• The inside pages and covers usually will be off-white to white, but can be creamy or slightly yellowish.
A VERY FINE 8.8 magazine appears to have been read a few times and has been handled with some care.
This one allows for some more defects. 1. Some of the above defects along with a small fold or crease in the cover.
2. Very few stress marks on spine.
3. A few small chips on the cover
4. The cover has some slight surface wear but still has its original gloss and there is nothing major wrong with it. Overall an exceptional, still very collectible.A FINE 7.5 magazine has a “well-read” appearance even if it has not been touched, but can still be a very desirable copy.
1. This could have one major defect like a larger piece out of the cover (1/4 inch to 1/8 inch) or a one-inch plus tear.
2. It has stress lines around the staples and creases from the opening and closing of the cover.
3. The whiteness of the pages has been changed to off-white to yellowish color.
4. This could have a reading or subscription crease or a rolled spine, but is not damaged enough to reduce eye appeal dramatically.
5. Some discoloration, fading in colors and even minor soiling is allowed.
6. The cover and/or inside pages could have minor tears and/or folds
7. Cover can be loose from one staple, but cover cannot be completely detached from interior.
8. Pages and inside covers could be brown but not brittle.
9. Depending on the grade of the copy certain amounts are available in this grade. i.e a book that looks 8.0 with a piece of tape on the interior cover is acceptable in this grade.Please let me know if you have any questions.
