AN EXTRAORDINARY PAIR OF WELL EXECUTED WATERCOLOR PORTRAITS. WATERCOLOR ON PAPER, LAID ONTO CARD-STOCK.

Neither of the sitters are identified.

The gentleman is wearing a black suit coat and black tie with a white shirt. He is leaning on a basket-weave pattern table and has a gold wedding band. The signature and date are in the left margin of the painting.

The woman is wearing a black dress with fancy multi-colored collar. She is signed and dated on the middle margin right.

THESE PAINTINGS ARE OF THE FINEST QUALITY. THEY HAVE GREAT DETAIL AND WONDERFUL OLD COLOR.

The physical attributes, eyes, hair and faces are wonderfully done.

THE COLORS ARE EXTREMELY VIBRANT.

IN NICE OLD ESTATE CONDITION. The original frames are long gone but evidence of them being framed is apparent. THE CONDITION IS VERY NICE. The gentleman is in near perfect condition with only very minor abrasions and scratches. The woman is in similar condition and is slightly lifting from the card-stock.

We could not get any other information on the sitters, but they came from an early Connecticut home.

THESE GREAT PAINTINGS NEED further research.
