WHATALOVELY LARGE ANTIQUEHALLMARKED GEORGE IV STERLING SILVER MEAT PLATE.

ITISOF THE HIGHEST QUALITY.

Andof aridiculous weight andvery special beingin such fine order.

Of oval form.

Aquite fabulousearly 19th centuryhallmarked silver item.

It has a most attractive shape and a shell and acanthus border.

Itis engraved twice with an armorial and motto NOMEN EXTENDERE FACTIS and always has been,definitely no erasures either (refer to image).

This motto translates into \'\'the name matches the deed\'\' and is for family NIELD.

Also engraved with a quite wondrous Coronet.

Here we have aquite exceptionaland quite lovely silver meat platter ofincredible gauge and weight.Hallmarksarevery goodindeed.

Fully marked to base.

Assayed in London,1827 by important maker John Bridge (refer to Jackson\'s pocket edition page 61). Year letter n.

This lovely itemis simply huge at 19.75 inches in width.Depth is 15.25 inches. Height is 1.25 inches.

Definitely one for the collectors!
