A genuine, ancient Greek South Italian
Apulian Terracotta Plate,
dating to approximately 400 B.C.E
A black glazed pottery artefact, intact,
no restoration, some wear as expected,
the glazehas turned an orange/brown
in places, a little glaze loss in places,
beautiful iridescenceespecially to
the underside.
Ancient black ware is not rare but
scarce, there is a considerable amount
of this type of
artefact on ancient art markets in Europe
and the United Kingdom.
Hence the affordable prices of these items.
