Beautiful light piece of New Zealand Greenstone from the West Coast. Quite translucent as shown in the photos, beautifully carved just a great piece the paua eyes and colour of the stone really make this tiki stand out..Hand carved by New Zealands Whakairo Master Carver Malcolm Dean Hooper, who has been carving for 40 years now.
Malcolm is considered to be one of New Zealands top 20 carvers, and has fatured in the book Stone Bone and Jade by Donn Salt. His carvings are all over the world, he is a modern day master carver and his items are becomming tougher to find.
These carvings are at a unbelivable price, carved out of New Zealand Pounamu which is becomming more and more scarce, all of my items have been blessed.
