What asensational sounding drum! Absolutely suitable for current playing applications or just for admiring as a collectable. I\'ve found this wonderful piece of history to be quite expressive. The drum works well in loud and soft settings. You can get a range of different kinds of sounds out of the drum and it\'s a pleasure to play for snare drum focused rhythms such as second line and Latin effects. It\'s tunable across a wide range.

I can\'t believe how the wrap and lugs have held up over 70 years! Wish I could meet all the guys that have played it.A good deal of chrome has come off the rims but the lugs and other hardware look very good as can be seen in the pictures. No rust! All parts are original and work well. Original strainer is intact and in place, even has the original key holder and key. No cracks or damage to the wrap other than an even fade. Seam is perfect. No lifting anywhere. No modifications of any kind.Unpainted interior (pre silver sealer and paper tag period).Definitely a collectors drum and it plays like a dream.
