You are offerding on FOUR of my hand painted 54mm Civil War Union Artillery depicting the Battery of the famous Alonzo Cushing (recently awarded the Medal of Honor) in action on Day 3 (July 3rd, 1863) of the Battle Of Gettysburg! This famous Artillery unit fought on the Union line near the \"Copse of Trees\", the target of the Army of Northern Virginia during Pickett\'s Charge! Cushing was credited with loading up \"double canister\" as the Confederates reached the Union line, in spite of all his other artillerymen being killed or wounded by this time, and firing the cannon just as he was mortally wounded by the oncoming Confederates! It was this action that earned him the Medal Of Honor, but it was only awarded to him (posthumously) last month by President Obama, some 153 years after it was earned!Included with this set you receive FOUR new Expedtionary Force Union 54mm artillerymen, featuring the customized gunner firing the Ex Force 10 lb Napoleon and the customized loader ready to swab the gun for the next shot,with a water bucket and ramrod, one artilleryman carrying up the next round, and the officer of the gun crew! (The two customized figures were initially molded as one figure holding the ramrod and one figure carrying the bucket, but no gunner is provided in the set, so I used the arm from the figure, holding the ramrod on the figure with the water bucket to make the gunner firing the weapon, and the loader with both the ramrod and the water bucket! )The figures come dressed in the typical artillery uniforms with blue shell jackets, sky blue trousers, with their weapons, equipment and accoutrements accurately depicted, with red artillery trim where typical on the shell jackets and kepis!

This highly detailed group would make an interesting looking display in most anyone\'s Civil War display or 54mm toy soldier collection!!
