This is an excellent reproduction tile of a Dutch Soldier from the 17th Century. Holland has had a rich history of tile making for centuries - this tile reproduces on of the historic tiles of the past - it is marked on the back with \"HOLLAND\" and a number in black. The tile is approx. 5 1/4\" x 5 1/4\" - 1/4\" in thickness. The tile would be perfect framed, as a decorative inset tile, used as a trivet or coaster, or in many other applications. The tile has never been used - the colors are bright - no cracks, no crazing, no nicks to the front - may have some very tiny nick to the back rim margin - tile is the one pictured.
