Up for your consideration is this really cool hand carved heavy wood leopard head made in Kenya. All hand carved and painted. Great wall mask or addition to your leopard/African collectible theme. Please be sure to see the other collectible items we have listed.

FEATURES: This cool vintage hand carved mask is not labeled, but most likely was made in Kenya Africa. The head is carved from one solid piece of heavy hardwood. The piece is nicely finished, the stained surfaces were sanded very smooth before staining. On the back of the carving, holes go all the way through where his mouth and nostrils are, as well as his eyes. In addition to that, there is a round area carved out with 2 additional slots matching the holes for his eyes - this could have been to accommodate some small LED lights to give a glow to his eyes. There is also a hole drilled in the back for hanging on the wall. This can also rest on a table.

ADD. INFO: We find that when you hold a little LED flashlight in that carved area, the light shines right out towards the light holes and probably make a cool effect.

INCLUDED: The actual solid wood sculpture pictured

ON THE BACK: As stated before, there is a depression carved, possibly for lights

SIZE: At the widest part, it is 6-5/8\" wide. From the back of his head to the bottom of his lip is 10-1/2\" and from the wall to between his eyes 3-7/8\" thick.

COLOR: The inside of his eyes and nostrils is painted black. The inside of his ears and his lips are a burnt umber reddish brown color and the pattern is a caramel cilor with tan to umber reddis brown spots.

CIRCA: Likely around the 1970\'s +/- 10 years

You really like the thing, but not so much the price...

I find cool stuff, do some research and list it for what I think it\'s worth. Sounds pretty simple but sometimes not. So if this is something you really like but its a bit more than you had hoped to pay, then be sure to watch this because I can\'t send it to the bank, and if it ends without a buyer chances are real good I will drop the price and re-list it until it does sell! Two things for sure - it will get sold sooner rather than later, and that\'s better for both of us.
