Up for sale is a big, bold and gorgeous pair of earring from Navajo silversmith Dean Sandoval Jr. Mr. Sandoval comes from a family of silversmiths, and does exquisite work. These earrings are done in a lavish old pawn style. The silver has a heavy patina which makes them look aged. If you don\'t like the patina, they can be polished. Each earring has three rectangular domed cabochons of vivid blue green turquoise with lots of caramel colored matrix. One is bezel set in a top scalloped circular setting. The other two are bezel set in the longer part hanging from the post part. The settings are beautifully tooled, and at the bottom of each is lovely repousse\' work. Post backs. These earrings are beautifully crafted, a lovely example of the simplicity and beauty of Navajo design. The back has Mr. Sandoval\'s hallmark, a \"S\" with a slash, and say \"sterling\". I bought the from a reputable dealer at the venerable Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo some years back.
The earrings are a bit over three inches long, all inclusive, and they are about 1 1/8\" at their widest. Real showstoppers, perfect paired with your western wear!
