I believe the tray is lacquered and from what I have read, the lacquer can be removed which should also remove the unfortunate black stains. I haven\'t really tried to do anything beyond cleaning and it was already pretty clean. It weighs about six pounds but will need the be boxed and padded for shipment so probably 8 lbs. shipping wt. The copper does not attract a magnet but there is a steel rod around the edge which does (hidden by the copper which is soldered around the steel for strength. I\'m told the \"Big D\" mark stands for Old Dutch. It is 28\" x 14\". Foreign postage will be higher.
