Before it was no longer available/completely sold outthe gallery price was a straggering $250,000.00, this and \"Ghost\" are the only pieces to ever reach this extreme level of desirability and demand.I am selling a 1.5Meter (150cm)size\"Tree of Life\"byPeter Lik.It is an original, signed, and numbered Limited Edition photograph.This is the first from Peter Lik\'s famous \"Tree Series\" and is considered by many to be the absolute best image he has ever released.The stock/example pictures do not do it justice. The colors are very vibrant in person and the details are extremely sharp.The whole canopy of the tree completely shifts in depth and color under different lighting throughout the day. The specific details of the artwork are as follows:
- 1.5 meter (150cm) size,the perfect size for hanging in front of a bed or couch, large entry way, over a long table, in a dining area, or on any other suitable focal point wall. This is a very large and stunning size in person.
- It is an authentic signed a numbered limited edition #\'d/950. The signature on the front is in silver.
- ***Many times I do not easily know the exact number if the art is new, packed up, or if I have multiples of the same piece. If the number is very low or a \"premium number\" then I will include it in the listing. If you are curious about this number and ask I may not be able to easily give you an answer. You will know as soon as you unpack the artwork and your certificate will match it. I guarantee the authenticity of all pieces I have for sale and most I have purchased from the gallery directly. I also purchase items from other collectors many times and for privacy do not like giving out numbers as they are related to the original purchaser.***
- The COA is included with the artwork even though it is not pictured. It is the embossed full sheet of paper style that existed before the \"Integrity Problem\". This piece was brand new in 2009 and the hologram system that is currently used did not start until late 2010.
- The framed artwork measures roughly 76\"x 56\", the image itself measures approximately 59\" x 39\". The shipping box will either be a heavy duty box or professionally made wooden crate which will bepacked extremely well internally.
- This piece was produced/mounted/framed directly by the Peter Lik Gallery in the Roma 606 Cigar Leaf style frame (this is a dark brown color with a beautiful style to the wood grain, it appears to be almost darker/rich brown depending on the lighting). This piece also was framed originally with a black liner (matting). This is the NEWER production style like current pieces you would see in the gallery, the image itself is sealed in acrylic/lexan. This style has been used since 2009/2010 and they tend to show less glare when hung.
- This image is printed on Silver Halide Fuji Crystal Archive paper like all authentic Peter Lik pieces. This is what gives the glow, backlit, or color shifting look that really makes the image pop under different lighting.
- The artwork is in good overall condition, the surface of the image and frame have some more minor imperfections as it is not completely brand new. From being moved or hung pieces many times just acquire some more subtle things where they aren\'t completely perfect. This is completely normal for almost all Peter Lik pieces that have been previously moved/hung. The surface of the image on close inspection may some very minor and fine surface scratches likely just from being dusted or moved over time. There are a few towards the upper middle if the light catches it just right, but just like in the pictures they can\'t be seen when hung the way I have it currently and I like just being as forward as possible. The artwork may be a bit dusty when you receive it and it could have fingerprints on it from some handling as well. Anything you see in the pictures that may look odd or like imperfections is just dust/glare/fingerprints. It is also common for the backing paper to have some marks, tears, or other signs of being hung previously. The back has a clear plastic slip that can hold the paperwork/COA, it is partially coming off and folded over a bit. There is also a place where the hanging hardware position was moved/changed and there are the other set of holes in the back. The condition of the back other than that though is solid. There are no large rips or tears.
