Beautiful hallmarked silver box in a crisp engine turned design on both the top and bottom. It features a highly polished finish to the inside with substantial clear hallmarks. It is a solid piece, lightly but clearly engraved with the initials MD on the inscription panel although they could be removed I\'m sure.

It has been well loved and has light scratches from usage which can be more clearly seen in the photos. The lid closes neatly although not tightly yet on close inspection I believe this is due to the design rather than the hinge loosening as it is firm and in good order. Very minor light dents but overall very good for age. A lovely item.

Hallmarks are the Lion Passant, Birmingham Anchor, Date letter V for 1945 and makers mark T.D&S for Thomas Ducrow and Sons. The box measures 8cm by 7cm and stands at 1.5cm high. It weighs 117 grams.
