This is a lovely antique SOLID Sterling Silver teapot. It is fully hallmarked with a \"LION\" for STERLING SILVER, and also has hallmarks indicating it was made in Sheffield England by George Hape in 1900. It also has hallmarks on the finial, under the lid, and on the handle!
CONDITION: Very Good pre-owned condition. It is nice and shiny. It does have polish marks/scuffs/aging/wear. The handle has more wear and some light dinks, and there is some sort of ivory/bone like material (spacers) that have cracked and show aging. Some light dinks on the spount. Handle is a bit loose but does function. Overall, this teapot is very nice for its age. I would rate it an 8.5 out of 10. The inside of the teapot has tea/coffee stains that can be cleaned out. We used it in the past for fancy tea service. The finial might have had something attached, but I am not sure.
