An outstanding late Victorian inkwell made from two cattle horns and mounted with silver plated fittings, a stunning combination and always highly sought-after; I haven\'t had one of these for several years.The large inkwell is made from a hefty piece of crystal with a hinged lid, engraved clearly as a presentation piece in 1897, some usual wear to the plate on the interior. Below the ring handle, is an integral pen rest for one\'s dip pen (the one shown is not included and for photographic purposes only).Excellent condition measuring 8 1/2\" x 8 1/2\" x 8 1/2\" tall.
