We are offering for sale a lovely Georgian silver caster in the highly desirable baluster form and made by the specialist caster maker, Robert Piercy.
This handsome George III caster or muffineer has an attractively pierced and engraved pull-off cover that benefits from bearing clear matching part hallmarks to the caster. It could be used either for condiments and spices, such as pepper or as a muffineer for sprinkling fine sugar.
It is in excellent condition with no personalised engravings.

MEASUREMENTS:approx. 13cm (5.1\") high; 4.4cm (1.7\") diameter base; 94 grams weight.
MARKS: Full set of English hallmarks (guaranteeing Sterling 925 standard silver) for London 1764 byRobert Piercy (maker\'s mark reference - Grimwade 3784). Cover is appropriately part marked with a clear RP maker\'s mark and lion passant.
