We are pleased to offer this c1920 HANS BRASSLER sterling tray.

Born Germany trained in Paris.

Brassler won a GOLD MEDAL for his designs at the 1889 Paris Exposition.

Recruited by TIFFANY. Own company in 1909. Worked with Eleder-Hickok, formerly Lebkuecher.

Brassler known almost exclusively for his jewelry designs. Major commissions for the Fishers of Detroit (Body by Fisher....many GM cars of the 1950s -1970s).

A monumental Fisher family service by Brassler sold Christies NYC Jan 20 2011 for $422,000 USD.

Circular with cast acanthus cap twin vine oval medallion with raised cypher, the initials of the original owner. United along the rim by rolling leaf and bead cap panel.

The shield flanked by winged reclining mythical creatures, interrupted by classical garden urns brimming with lush leaf and floral.

Set atop rich satin background surfaces.

HANS BRESSLER sterling silver classical tray is 13 1/2 inches and 39 3/4 standard ounces.

Hallmarked as shown. \"Eleder-Hickok\" 925/Sterling Crescent L for Lebkuecher and script HANS BRASSLER for the famed German designer.

In excellent condition. Rich, lustreous sterling patina throughout. Stands firm on table or museum display shelf. The winged figures, urn and floral retain most original hand carved detail.
