Rare First edition (Hardback) of HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHERS STONE.
This is a very rare 4th print of the First Edition Hardback copy of the first in the Harry Potter Book - THE PHILOSOPHERS STONE, which you can authenticate from the numbers printed at the bottom of the inside cover photo (10 9 8 7 6 5 4 the lower the numbers go the earlier the print run).This is NOT a first print of a first edition, they sell for Thousands and are very rare indeed (only 500 produced, 300 of which went to libraries).
The book is in excellent condition overall and comes with the original sleeve (with the young wizard....which indicates the earlier prints, later ones were printed with an older wizard). There are two imperfections - a small tear on the top, spine of the sleeve (pictured) and a name written inside (also pictured). Otherwise, it\'s in great condition for a 20 year old book!
I have been offered £150 from a dealer but would rather it go to someone who would appreciate how wonderful this edition truly is.Please be careful when purchasing so-called first editions as there are many which claim to be rarer and older than they are.
