A real treasure, this beautiful chenille bedspread is in the beloved white curliques and plush flowers pattern. Two things make this one unlike so many of the others I\'ve owned over the years: 1) a single flower is different from all the rest (see 2nd photo). It is definitely not missing chenille - it\'s just how the flower is.
2) The flowers that are all along the bottom line of the bedspread are a split color design, half iced with white frosting (3rd photo). This is just beyond pretty! This was one of a pair I have in this color, and it is only this one that has the single cute little flower like I described above. I also have a pair of these in green, and neither of those has the little flower like I pictured nor do they have the mixed/frosted florals along the bottom edging, so I\'m thinking it must have been something done at the factory. If you know these spreads at all, you know they were usually loved to death and are often thinning, worn, or have the tufts missing. I think you\'ll be impressed with this one - it has retained its thick and luscious texture after all these years. It has two-tone grape and orchid purple flowers scattered across a creamy white background. This is a twin size (about 72\"W x 101\"L) or you could use as a decorative throw. If you\'re the crafty type, this fabric would also do well in quilts and similar projects. It has been probably 20 years or so since I even had this on a bed, I\'ve given it a once-over and the only issues to call are some areas of age-like spotting (last photo). I\'ve of course washed it already; but it might come out with a good soak?? To my eye it\'s more noticeable underneath.
