I believe the set to be from the mid to late 70\'s. All parts appear to be original. The brown leather foam-filled cushions have aged nicely. The chair label(s) have been removed ; assuredlyto show off the highly-figured wood on the seat. The ottoman has a round silver sticker that says \"Herman Miller of Canada Limitee Toronto\", which according to Herman Miller means that the set was sold at their Canadian store.
I just noticed that the ottoman is missing one of the5 clips used to holdthe cushion to the base. I\'ve ordered a correct OEM replacement from England which should hopefully be here before the sale end.
Cushions:

The cushions are soft, pliable, and comfortable and clean. There are no tears, rips, nor holes in either the chair or ottoman. The arm rests have some scratches which are shown in the photos. The ottoman has numerous scratches which are apparent when examined closely, but are not that noticeable at a distance.

Wood:

Amazing figured rosewood. The shells are in excellent condition showing no cracks nor gouges. There may be an occasional scratch from from the 40 years of use, but I didn\'t notice any but a couple on the chair bottom. Both the seat and main back piece are engraved \"144\" on the inside. The ottoman has a small chip along the edge shown in the photo. The chair has a small dent along the edge which is also shown in the photos.

Shock Mounts:

The shock mounts are in solid structural shape and the chair still holds strong, without the leaning that can be found with other chairs that have failing mounts. I assume all mounts to be original since I see no evidence of the hardware hiding them being removed.

Bases and Metal

The aluminum bases are in excellent condition. The feet move nicely, paint is all there, and aluminum still gives off a lovely shine.
