Two Hawks Double Drone Flute - key of \"A\" is made from domestic walnut, a hardwood. The flute is sealed with non-toxic oils which give it a clear, bright voice.

The Double Flutes are as easy to play as the Single Flutes, they take just a little bit more breath. With a double flute you play the melody on one side and the other side provides the drone in the root note of the flute - it sounds like two people are playing.

Our Double Flutes have two mouthpieces so you can play it as a double flute or a single flute instantly, without adjustments. Our style is unique and generates good amplitude (volume) and the drone side plays the low and high octaves easily.

This Double Flute is a good accompaniment flute for the Contra Bass \"A\" flute and the Pocket Flute in the key of \"A\". This flute is tuned in the key of \"A\" minor and can be played in the relative major diatonic scale in the key of \"C\" major.

It is a 6-hole flute, we cover the 3rd hole from the top of the flute (known as the 6th hole) with a leather tie, giving the option to use it as a 6-hole or a 5-hole flute. It is easier to learn on a 5-hole flute.

This flute is 19 inches long x 7.25 inches wide (48 cm long x 18 cm wide).
